Evolve Talent is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing & Procurement Officer for a reputable joinery company based in Southwestern Sydney, NSW. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and take ownership of all purchasing activities across multiple high-end joinery projects.

Position Details:

Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
Salary: $80k–$90k + Super (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all purchasing requirements across joinery projects
  • Raise and process purchase orders for materials, hardware, and components
  • Coordinate and track complex orders with varying lead times
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct quality control checks upon delivery of materials
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and communication lines
  • Ensure accuracy of incoming materials against job specifications
  • Work closely with project managers, production teams, and site supervisors
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate upcoming material needs
  • Support continuous improvement in procurement and supply processes

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials coordination — ideally within joinery, construction, or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of joinery materials, hardware, and supplier networks (preferred)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders, lead times, and deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation abilities
  • Ability to start immediately or within short notice (preferred)
